It was attended by more than 1,700 participants in the field of biochemistry and life sciences from around the world. The congress offered more than 160 lectures addressing key issues in the fields of medicine, aging, food production and environmental protection. It is worth to highlight lectures of two Nobel laureates, dr. Richard Roberts and dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier, last year’s winner of the Nobel Prize for the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas system. Prior to the congress, a meeting of young researchers Young Scientists’ Forum was also held in a virtual form. All the coworkers form department attended the congress and several also participated in the organization and implementation of the congress. Including prof. dr. Janko Kos who led the organizing committee.
