V nasprotju s tem je o vplivu RNA precej manj znanega. RNA se lahko pojavlja v ve\u010d oblikah, ki imajo specifi\u010den vpliv na vedenje tako genov kot proteinov. S tem RNA podro\u010dje raziskav predstavlja nove obete za inovativne pristope zdravljenja \u0161tevilnih bolezni.<br \/>Na\u0161e delo se osredoto\u010da na funkcionalno karakterizacijo nekanoni\u010dnih RNA, zlasti snoRNA. Za zajem redkih in prehodnih interakcij uporabljamo najsodobnej\u0161e metode, kot sta COMRADES in PARIS. Na\u0161 glavni cilj je funkcionalna karakterizacija nekodirajo\u010dih RNK zaporedij pri ALS \/ FTD in Prader-Willijevem sindromu.<br \/>Izbris o\u010detovsko izra\u017eene genske skupine SNORD116 (skupina snoRNA-jev C \/ D-box) je znan primarni genetski dejavnik, ki povzro\u010da Prader-Willi sindrom, najpogostej\u0161i genetski vzrok \u017eivljenjsko nevarne debelosti pri otrocih.
